Russia says grain deal prolongation to depend on fulfillment

MOSCOW, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- Prolongation of the grain deal will depend on its fulfillment, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on Friday.

"We are looking at how it is fulfilled. Unfortunately, it is not being fulfilled in the way planned earlier and as promised by the U.N.," Rudenko said.

He added that the deal will end in November, and Russia will consider its rollover taking into account fulfillment of all terms.

The July 22 grain deal opened safe corridors to export Ukrainian grain and promote Russian food and fertilizers exports.
